Kosdown Goes Solar

Kosdown have continued to embrace sustainability and innovation with a large scale Solar installation to the Kosdown factory in Port Melbourne. The installation comprises a 62kW photo voltaic roof panel system, together with a Three Phase 50Kwp Inverter.

Kosdown have long been committed to sustainability and the environment, with water-less Computer to Plate printing and Forest Stewardship Certified paper use.  The opportunity to extend this commitment to a significant solar installation has produced further gains in reduced energy consumption, and savings in energy costs. The system was commissioned in late march 2020 and has already achieved a Carbon Offset over 100 metric tons in nine months of operation. This is the equivalent effect of planting 20 acres of forest.
